ASV Levers
Does anyone have ASV levers?
Are they worth the money? I like the thumb wheel adjusters.
Others I'm thinking of are Titax.
Knowing me I'll just get a $40 set of eBay but I thought I'd ask the knowlegable folk here.

Hi mate. Mine look the same and came from eBay (Factorykiss was the brand). They were in the $50 price range and have just started to lose some of the gold where the gloves rub them.

I have ones similar to the titax ones, only had them on for a short time but don't have any complaints. The adjusters have a nice firm click when adjusting the lever reach. Got mine from the2wheels.com

Yep, changed mine to eBay FactoryKiss units about 3 or 4 years ago, no hassle at all, including no fadding or paint wear.

Re: ASV Levers
Sorry, went back and checked and it wasn't FactoryKiss but 2Wheels.
They're a little cheaper now, I paid $36.99 in 2011, also free shipping worldwide and they take Paypal. Heaps of colours and options on their site :

Just ordered a set of black and titanium levers.
Thanks guys.
Barry that was USD but $47 AUD is good enough.
Re: ASV Levers
It probably was US$, the receipt doesn't say, but being US based more than likely it was.
Depending on how much more Paypal charged on the exchange rate mine was about AU$40 back in 2011.

Thats the lever + master cylinder = $500.
Not a bad price actually.
Lever by itself for about $50 is good aswell.

Re: ASV Levers
On Barrys recommendation I ordered a set of these.
They finally arrived after being on back order for 2 weeks.
Black with titanium adjusters.
Communications with the seller was excellent and for less than $50 they look and feel great.
Cant wait to fit them but will probably do that after VAR14

Re: ASV Levers
Thanks Dave they should be good and if I wasn't trying to hang onto my job I'd have a crack at swapping them tonight.Ewok1958 wrote:They look the goods 2WA. Changeover looks straightforward.
With the mood I'm in I'm sure something will cock up and the bike will be out of action for the trip.
I need this trip so not chancing it!
Re: ASV Levers
I bought a set of these ASV levers from 'the2wheels', they fitted easy and look good quality.
They also have an "undocumented" feature, if you set the clutch lever to pos 1 or 2 the lever does not activate the clutch safety switch so you cannot start the bike.
Took me a couple of minutes to realise what was wrong!

Dont need the clutch pulled in on the VFR
Re: ASV Levers
The fact that they do not let the bike start in position 1 & 2 is a useful safety device - anti-theft.

Which for you really makes it only a 5 position lever. False advertisingaussie wrote:The fact that they do not let the bike start in position 1 & 2 is a useful safety device - anti-theft.

Re: ASV Levers
Geez, they sure are way cheaper than the OEMs... !
Do they just simply slot right in? NO stuffing around necessary (thinking in particular of the clutch lever assembly)?

Ha no.
Just a part wore out, and I realised that you can't just replace the small part, but need to replace the entire assembly.....
