Ride Day at Eastern Creek??

Hi all - anyone interested in booking in for a ride day at eastern creek one saturday or sunday? I haven't before - their website says if you havent done it to book into the slow group for the first time.

has anyone been to one before?

I have never done one before. But am very interested.
I will be in this for sure.

i think it sounds like it would be a good day - i did one of those stay upright advanced courses last friday out at oran park and it was a great day all round [except i picked up a screw in the rear tyre somewhere]. the course was very good and the track sessions were a blast. apparently at eastern creek you have to have full leathers although they hire them if you dont have them yourself - its not super cheap, but sounds like it would be a good day. heres the website:

I did the riding course at Oran Park as well about 8 months ago. Had a real good time.

I have also done the advanced course at Oran.

Had a blast.

It is probably cheaper to buy a set of Rjays leather pants and jacket than to hire the suits they have at the track.
OK, not the best suit around, but you will get a few days from it while you save for the good stuff.

I went and watched a couple of mates today at eastern creek. Looks like alot of fun. Saw a few bikes go down to. So makes me unsure to do it on the bandit.

But if we go in the White (slow) group, should be alot of fun.

anyway i dont think the idea is just to go there on your first time and ride like a maniac [which i am way past doing] - i think the idea is to have the pleasure of being able to zip around corners on the track without any cars and my main reason for doing it is to get used to the bike and practice cornering without the possibility of a prang. and it would be a lot of fun. of course if people go too fast then they run the risk of hitting the road. you have to go in the slow group first anyway - at least until you have done it once to see what its like. we should arrange something

I have the next available dates i can book us in for a ride day:
Sunday 11th October
Saturday 7th November
Sunday 12 December
Sunday 20th December

There the dates for the rest of the year.
I for one will be riding in the white (slow) group..it will be my first ride day.

Please let me know if your are up for it, and what the best date is for you.

No date as yet..as always, end of the year is pretty busy.
maybe a date into early next year...but if you guys wanna do it before year is out...i will do my best to come along. I will leave it up to you guys.

maybe we should look at march next year and give everyone time to save $10 in their money boxes to pay for it. the other thing is it might be a bit hot if we do something in nov or dec as u have got to wear full leathers.

so lets get a definite list together over the next few weeks. i will go - running around oran park track was a great and i want to do it again on a track
