Engine number location
G'day All,
This might save me some time in the dark later on tonight.
Where do I find the VIN and Engine Number on the 1250 engine ?
I have an FA, so it will be covered by the fairings I guess...
Thanks.
Rob.

Don't know if it was normal for Fords, but on my old ZJ Fairlane, the engine number and chasis numbers were the same.....

Haha, I edited the original message to add VIN after Barry replied so that if someone searches later on for VIN they will get this too, obviously didn't re-read it afterwards

Re: Engine number location
It still is normal for Fords, only difference now the engine gets what would have been the Chassis number before 17 digits VINs were used, Aussie built Fords start 6FPAAA, every thing after that is the same as the engine number with the exception of FPV V8s, they have a FPV engine number insteadbarry_mcki wrote:Chook wrote:You wont find the VIN on the Engine at all b_t_j
