Does anyone want to join me in a Phillip Island Ride Day?

I was thinking of doing a Phillip Island Ride Day on Friday 12th Dec 2014.
I know it is a long way away but December should provide the best possible weather. ( Not too hot or wet. )
If you haven't done a track day at the island, it should be on your bucket list.
Would love to get as many Bandits there as possible.
Let me know if any one is keen on joining me.

It is a very long way away for you!!!!
When I make the long treck down to the Island (80 kms) for MotoGP and WSBK I am always amassed by all the bikes that have come from all over the country there. I am blessed to live so close to one of the worlds best race tracks.

Love to, wud like to do PI and Dec should be OK. May well book both days in the hope of getting at least 1 good one to justify hauling my arse down there.
Does not seem much apetite for track days on this forum we have proposed a ride day @ EC on 2 June but no takers, pity.

You are right about lack of track day interest. That would be great for you to come down.
Have you ridden the island before?
I have done one track day at Eastern Creek when I had my VTR1000.
Loved the track!!! Have you rode there since the new part has been added?
I haven't booked yet, but will be very soon.

Yes, have ridden the ‘fishhook’. I have heard quite a few riders say they don’t like it (it is fairly tight) while some say it is an additional challenge.
Am booked for a ‘Top Rider’ setup/coaching day on 31 May and will be on the south circuit so will get to try it some more.
Have yet to clear it through the missus but as our daughter has moved to Somers, I reckon I will be able to swing it.

Sorry, I'll pass. The last track day I did pre bandit was a bit disappointing. The price had gone up, and the time on the track went down. Don't get me wrong, PI is a spectacular track, just not for me (or the bandit) at the moment.

Getting closer to locking this one in.
ATM am planning to take the Wednesday 10/12 off and drive down to do both 11/12 and 12/12. Intending to bring both the Gixxer and the Bandit.

No way mate! Just concentrate on your technique and forget about speed, and you will be fine.
Or, even better come and do the Top Rider Advanced Level 1 on September 2 @ EC.
Remember, it's the nicest tar you will ever find, everybody is going the same way, there are no cars and no cops.
And if that is not the definition motorcycling heaven, then guess I have chosen (been chosen by?) the wrong passion.

I'll be there with bells on, I haven't been there since the resurfacing.
With that overiding problem everyone has - it will be work permitting, of course.
If the Gods allow I'll post up closer to the date.

At this stage, yes, probably will not change as the trailer will be full with my bikes.
