Re: Happy Easter.
Thanks Hammy. The same to you and Jan and everyone else associated with this forum.
I’m working Easter Sat and my daughter is coming from Melb on Sun so I’ll really only have the chance to get a ride in on Mon but I saw a press release yesterday suggesting Vicpol will be targeting Gippsland roads and bikes in particular

Happy Easter to all the other forumites, 1 afternoon of work to go until Tuesday June 10th, it's going to drag, I can feel it.
I reckon when I get back to work I'll be looking forward to the rest, I've got a doorway to cut in a brick wall, another to put in to replace it, 2 brick chimenys to remove and patch the cielings/wallls etc where they were so "she who will let me ride to Parkes next year" gets her new kitchen which was supposed to come befor my Bandit did over 2 years ago.

I've always wanted to try "Glamping". I hear it's good fun, but can get a little sore.

Re: Happy Easter.
I was going to buy everyone on the forum an Easter egg.
Unfortunately it was too late to post them so I took a photo instead.
It's not quite the same but hey!

You've got a big flash caravan to tow behind the Bandit have you?
Happy Easter everyone.
We have visitors arriving today, which is a real bugger, it'd be a bloody awesome day for a ride.
The weather has been crap here for the last couple of Easters, so I'm expecting it to turn to shit any time now

Re: Happy Easter.
Happy Easter all, I drove to Geelong thurs arvo/night got in at 2am Friday thick fog from Ararat to Ballarat (bout an hours worth), left Geelong this morning and arrived home at 6pm. All in all the traffic was really good, no wankers to mention, everyone I passed behaved themselves..... err um, just kidding.
Re: Happy Easter.
I got out on Good Friday, Saturday and Sunday for some good k's through the Royal National Park and up/down Macquarie Pass.
The recent weather definately helped make these rides very pleasurable and there didn't seem to be too much traffic out on these days, I didn't see too many Highway Patrols cars either.
Although the number of people I still saw on mobile phones was surprising. They stick out so much and I wonder if the Police are able to spot them as much as I can. I wish I could give out fines to these idiots behindthe wheel!
The National Park has its usual "Green Mile" of damp, moss covered road under the canopy of the gum trees at the southern end and you pretty much have to stick to the wheel tracks.
I saw a few of the RMS 'test pits' that they put in the road surface in the lead up to re-surfacing of the road, so some of the real bumpy sections I think will be re-surfaced in the next couple of months. It needs it, but unfortuntely I don't think they'll increase the speed limit back up to 80kph like it was previous.
Still saw a few guys pulled over by the Police on Lawrence Hargrave Dr, Coledale riding a Panagale and a Speed triple. Looked like they couldn't contain themselves with a 60 kph speed zone. Probable 1st gear on those machines anyway.
All in all, riding over the Easter period was a pleasure with the weather, magnificent roads and mostly courteous drivers making it so.
Bring on the 3 day week then a few more days off next weekend!
