Welcome aboard.
What was the bike you upgraded from?
Plenty of info here and some light hearted banter

Re: New Bandit owner from Newcastle saying hi :)
yeh sounds like a plan which roads do ya go along?
My previous bikes have been a 87 GPZ500.. gave me 3 years of solid service till a silly little lowside in greasy conditions (doh!) also an ER-5 and more recently n still regoed a postie (great little thing for going to the shops) and a Bollini 200 I got to see out my Ps
its a little funny taking the postie or the bollini out for a spin.. feel like the incredible hulk after getting used to hauling the bandit onto the centrestand
I think the only thing on my wishlist for the bandit at the moment is a more comfy seat so I can stay in the saddle for longer gonna be awhile before I need moar power
here is a pic..

Welcome Jim.
That's a great looking Bandit you have there! Well set up & ready for some long distance touring I'd say.
Sounds like you just need to toughen up your bum a bit first.
Actually, I found the best way to get used to a new seat was to do a few day trips first without a sheep skin seat cover to get a better feel for the seat & bike. After that the sheep skin feels like luxury & you're ready for some longer distances.
Enjoy!

Chris and I are riding two up. Planning on a Friday afternoon ride to Armidale and staying the night. Then ride to Drake on Sat morn.B1250_Jim wrote:

Along the Buckets Way to Gloucester, then Thunderbolts Way to Armidale. About four to Five hours ride. Awesome scenery and pretty good roads too.
A few other guys from Newy are going too.
Have you got a plan yet, fella's?
