exhaust advice Empty exhaust advice

Post  pipeliner Fri 06 Sep 2013, 5:53 pm

Hi everyone, I would like to get a new exhaust for my 2008 bandit and would like some advise. I would really like to buy a staintune but with a price tag of $700 my wife almost changed the locks on the house when I told her. I do like delkevic exhaust but don't know much about them. I am on a budget as I live in a house packed to the rafters. can anyone give me some advice?

The guys will have to advise you on this issue, as I dont suffer from penis envy, err, exhaust envy...Laughing
In my house, it's usually the husband who wants to change the locks, as I usually tell him the price AFTER the fact....Twisted Evil

I don't think I suffer from exhaust envy. I do like the standard exhaust but it is heavy & I would just like something with a good sound without being too loud.

No I live in Sydney. another member has a delkevic for sale and I have read the review by solomonkane. The one for sale is 350mm long but I don't know if it will be too short

My Beowulf penis extension is 380mm.
350mm will be fine. I'd go shorter if I replaced it too.

I had the same feelings about the staintune as you, that price ouch! then I was lucky to grab a secondhand one from a fellow forum member who was offloading some of his accessories when he sold his bike.

I'm sure you'll be more than happy with any of the well known brands

as I've mentioned in other threads (in case I'm getting boring Smile) I bought an 06 with a short-arse delkevic on it.

Seems to pull alright, got measured at local dyno at 122hp too with stock everything else....

I have heard that there may be quality control issues with some of them, but mine seems fine.

Also loud and nice sound, but not TOO loud.

I reckon for the money they seem a pretty good addition.

I may have a short Yoshimura TRS pipe for sale soon, if it helps?
