Well I have finally done it. Actually that's not quite true, its my third time around. Bought a 600 Bandit in 01 and loved it. When some terd ran out in front of me and wrote that off bought a 03 1200 Bandit. Never gelled with that so traded it on a 650 v strom. This has bike has been the best bike I have ever owned and 8 years and 113k kms later well finally lashed out on a 2010 model 1250 Bandit S with ABS. Second hand with yosi pipe ventura rack and rad guard, 19k kms for a great price. some issues with steady throttle , ie surging, so looking at getting a holeshot stage 1 kit and improving the suspension. But overall it is brilliant and that motor, if this 1250 motor isn't the best thing in motorcycling then I don't know what is. Very Happy

Welcome to the forum Doug. There's a few Canberrans on the forum. Might see you about the place on a chilly morning. I'm in Monash. Aslo have a 2010 1250s with Yoshi can, rack and rad guard so must have the right bike. The surging could be as simple as needing to sync the throttle bodies - mine's never had that problem but others hereabouts have reported it. Enjoy the ride.

didn't say it but first step will be getting Dahlitz to check valve clearances, do a throttle body balance and ensure that the TPS is correctly set up. Noting what I have seen on other websites regarding the air fuel ratio that they run very lean at the revs I am experiencing a little surging.

I am northside in Ngunnawal.
