12 volt power fuse block
I want to fit a 12v fuse block under the seat for accessories.
I have had a look at past discussion but can't see anything about the best place to pick-up a switched and unswitched take-off point, to take to the fuse block.
I like the look of the "Eastern Beaver 8" block. Any experience with this?
Thanks, GG

Re: 12 volt power fuse block
Except for the price, the Eastern Beaver is one of the best fuse blocks going. The kit I got had a Suzuki male/female connector that went in line with the tail light, this gave a signal line to their relay. It had a main power link to the battery positive and negative and in conjunction with the relay then fed the block with two power take-offs for switched and non-switched (permanently on). It has screw connections for every (mini fuse) circuit both postitive and negative. Very simple to hook up, great to connect accessaries to, haven't been able to fault it except I ran out of circuits. The size is about cigarette packet (less the relay).
I also suggest getting their velcro to stick it down, it's the hard plastic style not the fur and hook.
As you can see I've got a couple of extra electrical things, sorry about the mess...

Ah okay I get it now, with the relay operated by the tail light coming on. Great idea. That one had me puzzled.
Thanks for the pics too Barry, the Eastern Beaver looks like the one I need. Looks like a good quality item. Thanks for tip re velcroing too.

Yes, it looks very busy under the seat there Barry.
btw, what do you reckon the reference to "non-ABS" might mean on Beaver 8 wiring set-up. I thought a fuse box and wiring would be independant of ABS circuit etc, what could it mean??
The connector on the far right of the of the wiring kit pic is the tail light, I take it.
Cheers, GG

Only guesing as I could not find any difference in the rear wiring of AU models in the factory manual, however there are a couple of overseas versions that do not have a rear connector for the tail lights.
I believe some CAN-BUS vehicles don't like you tapping into components as it upsets the main electronics, but I don't think the ABS on the Bandit would worry about this.
The other thought I had was there may be a difference in the placement of the battery or rear light loom that could entail a longer length on the Eastern Beaver kit.
Or it might be that they have only ever fitted a non-ABS at the Eastern Beaver factory so that is all they are willing to stipulate the kit fits.
Probably best to contact them directly as I can't seem to find the Bandit kit on their web page anymore, from memory they were pretty easy to work with, I got the PC-8 as well as a couple of Powerlet sockets (miniture power outlet sockets) from them, no hassles with the service or shipping.
