Coolant leak Empty Coolant leak

Noticed a puddle of coolant under the bike yesterday. After a quick look, I found that it was coming from the recovery hose. For some stupid reason, Suzuki has put a T piece in the middle of the hose that runs from the radiator to the coolant bottle. Why?

I was mistaken. The tee piece is on the breather line of the bottle.
