First NSW ride!!

Pretty busy over the next few weeks. But ive finally made a date for the first NSW chapter.

DATE: 26th September
MEETING: Will be at 0900. Please let me know where people live, so we can decide on a meeting point.
ROUTE: Putty Road. Singleton Pub for lunch.

Bugga, bit too far at this stage. Dunno how or where, but a national meet would be interesting

Looks like the date for this ride may be changed. New season of cricket starts next week, so i will have to confirm my dates.

I sussed out the Putty road for you guys on Saturday

The old halfway house looks pretty sad, burned to the ground just about. ie no fuel there just in case you didn't know.

We went from Newcastle to Wollombi then up to Millbrodale, down the Putty to Colo Heights, great little restaurant/servo there, prices really reasonable, perhaps you Sydney guys could use it as a meeting/breakfast stop, had lunch and blasted back to Newcastle, through Cessnock this time. About 430km return.



BTW Great NRL game on Sunday, can't remember who the Knights were playing tho'

I do the putty a fair bit. Was a real shame about the half way house though.

Had the day off work so i did a blast up the putty today. Was an awsome day for it. Not a car on the road.
I should have a date for this ride tomorrow to confirm.

Sundays are better for me [although I can do Saturday at a pinch if that fits in better with everyone].

im on the northside so a trip out to windsor looks like the go - i will be there but I dont think i can go all the way to singleton as i have child minding duties on saturdays and will have to make other arrangements, and will run out of time - need to be back by about 3pm. how long does it take to get there?

Potatomasher, I did a loop not long ago which started up Hornsby way, then to Wollombi, Broke, did the Putty to Windsor and back to Hornsby. It was a nice lazy pace and it took me about four hours.

Depending on the pace and how long we stop for lunch...If we know that sombody needs to be home at a certain time, then we can leave a little earlier and our stops can be shorter. If we dont muck around, being back by 3 will not be a problem

I think Widsor Maccas is the best meeting point.

I am okay for saturdays or sundays, although sundays suit better but it's not a major drama either way

Please don't plan a ride around my availability as I am a shift worker and only get 1 weekend a month off and always have a lot to do.(Very little free time)

Let us know your dates off and we will plan a ride so you can some along.
I go riding most weekend anyway, so this one will still go ahead, and we will choose another date so everybody else can come along.

Hey all. I just want to confirm if we are going ahead on this ride, or delay it until more of us are able to come.
I just need to plan next weekend is all.

Maybe we should leave it until we all can go.......I am ok most weekends - Cherry seems to be the most occupied - lets nominate a date.

On future rides it doesnt matter if we have lots or only a couple of bikes....but for our first one, lets get as many of us out there as we can
