fuel filter
as part of the 12k service i'm changing the fuel filter. not because it's called for (in fact i can't recall seeing it in the service schedule in either the user book or the workshop manual) but because i recon it should be done seeing how it's bloody small
so i get a filter from suzuki (~$40)
take the tank off and pull the old filter out
here is a pic of old - v - new
glad i changed it

Re: fuel filter
Anyone else checked this filter lately. Can they be washed out and re-used ?
That will be a no on the second question and apparently they turn blackish when exposed to fuel quickly.
Good write up on TWT.

Re: fuel filter
After seeing mine today after service.
It's a good idea to change it as regular as every oil filter change or second oil change at best.
I didn't see it in service manual either, it was just a question that came up when i was looking at the injector and fuel rail clean that was booked.

Re: fuel filter
Can be washed once in petrol and blown very gently with compressed air. But best is to replace it.
