Photos of broken bandit
Don't panic, these were taken Mothers Day 2004.
Basically I lost concentration, and fell off at 60. Cost to repair $6000 and nearly 3 months without my bike.

Re: Photos of broken bandit
The 3 worst parts of that accident where:
1. It happened on one of my favourite roads.
2. I realised that my bike means more to my family than I do. I got no sympathy, infact I was abused by my kids because I broke the bike. They weren't interested in the fact that every time I took a deep breath it hurt, and that I daren't sneeze or cough. They didn't help me walk to the house, even though it was obvious I was in pain. The only reason they ended up taking me to casualty was because "they were sick of me moaning and groaning". My wife (who was the spare parts manager at a bike dealer at the time) even got out a pen and paper and started adding up how much it was going to cost. For the record, she estimated $7000, but she included replacing the tank, not repairing it.
3. Because of the insurance company and the repairer not talking to each other, I was without the bandit for nearly 3 months.
Oh, I sincerly hope this will be my only contribution to the "horror files".
