Anyone use Cat Crap
I was over Mt Glorious on Saturday and it was pretty wet and foggy. I was having a lot of trouble seeing where I was going with mist inside the visor. Another rider coated the inside & outside of my visor with Cat's (or Cat) Crap and it worked a treat in similar conditions on the way down the mountain.
Does anyone know where to get this stuff - it is in a small round container ( 32mm x 12 deep).
cheers

I used rain-x, found it didn't last very long on a helmet. Works beautifully on a car windscreen. then i found out that rain-x is not recommended for plastics.
There was some recommendation for a product called raincoat, though I haven't tried it

Re: Anyone use Cat Crap
I used this for the first time 2 weeks ago.
The first time,(under recommendation by one of the blokes I was riding with)it did nothing.
Circular motion on,and wipe off.
Let it go for a couple of days, and was sick of fog.
Had another go,applied it 3 times, swirling madly, using cotton cloth, then removed with clean cotton cloth, again making sure nothing was left(all while making sure the visor was clean from dirt to begin with),and it worked, i`ll be buggered!! so i`ll use it again,

I got a sort of sample pack of Raincoat from the UK - it is brilliant for beading the water off but it quickly gets affected by other road grime thrown up from tin tops. So its great short term but if you clean the visor you need to recoat. I don't think it had any affect wrt fog or anti-fogging the visor.

Try your local bike shop, a couple of them stock it here in Coffs.

Re: Anyone use Cat Crap
There are 2 different rainX products,
one is external for the rain to be dispersed faster (basically its a type of wax)
and there is rainX fog off for use on the inside to keep fog off windscreens and hopefully your visor.

A cheaper alternative to Cat Crap is to use either dishwashing liquid or shampoo (Shave foam works as well).
For a more permanent fix try a fog city insert (or similar).

I use an anti-fog film inside my visor. I think Ewok may have suggersted it after the Bathurst ride in Oct 2011 when we rode through a torrential downpour and all I could faintly see was Ewok's tail light. It works great. I think its R-Jays and cost me about $20 over a year ago. I will put one in every helmet I own from now on.
