Aftermarket bar end weights
I was just curious to find out if anyone has installed aftermarket bar end weights on their bandit and if so were you happy with the fit and their effectiveness as compared to the originals. I've scraped my originals a few times and the stealership wants $50 bucks for each one!

Dunno how handy you are but you could probably fix them yourself with a bit of elbow grease. File, file, emery paper, wet & dry, then a spray can.
On the other hand, there are after market ones around (dufferent colours too)

I've had a couple of eBay sets on but couldnt keep them tight.
I cant keep the RH original one tight either so that must be my hand position causing it.
I just remember to check them every couple of months.
The eBay ones are ok and about $16

I recently added some aftermarket ones (better wear sunnies - 2WA was a bit blinded by the bling!):

I just rode from Canberra to Traralgon (560kms) and I didn't detect any more vibration in the bars - mind you, it was minus 3 when I left so maybe my hands were numb from the cold!
I found them easy to fit - they dont penetrate as far as the originals and the tightening mechanism is a simple plastic thing but looks like it should last ok. They didn't seem to loosen on the trip.
