Stock tool kit missing something? Empty Stock tool kit missing something?

Hi all,

Does your stock tool kit have the ring spanner for the front axle? Mine has the big one for the rear wheel but there's nothing to undo the front whell nut.

As crappy as the factory tools are, the big ring spanners are good because they don't take up much room.

Thanks

No. And I didnt trust the kit for removing the rear either. 36mm socket I think I bought. 70ft/lb torque on the rear nut.

Yeah, I know a socket is better but it's not that easy to carry all the time. It's good to know I can get a wheel off by the side of the road with the tools that are on the bike.

I might just hack down a big ring spanner so that it fits in the ducktail.

And if your's is an "S" model you'll also be missing an Allen key that fits the mirrors - really annoying if they come loose on a trip (or if someone has been fiddling while your bike is parked). I had to ride home (only about 10 k's) with a loose RHS mirror some time back. I couldn't believe Suzuki left it out of the kit.

Thanks, I'll go and check that. It's probably a 6mm allen, there are a few of them on the bike and not one in the tool kit. Weird.

One of the reasons I hate seeing helmets hanging off mirrors.
Agree a good 4mm ball head key is handy. I got a set but think I have only used 2 or 3.
