Cheap 1250s

This 2008 1250s model with only 2,500kms on it seems extraordinarily cheap - must make mine worth $3,000!

Maybe I need a second one for parts and to make the Ewok JPS Bandit Special easier to build (as well as providing me with a new fairing and front wheel. Add in the chain and sprockets and this looks like a decent 'parts bin'.

Good idea chips - see if it is all as it says, inc a service history.

Probably one of those scam adverts

I thought of that but I don't reckon it is a scam. There are too many photos and the Merc in the background suggests the vendor may not care too much about the $$$ (although I appreciate that that alone wouldn't mean anything definitive).

May even be pictures from a previous advert / a phone call should reveal all

There is no tank protector on and the paint looks good. Merc and jet boat in the ad.
This looks like a toy that didn't get much use.
As Ewok said it doesn't help the resale of ours at all if its genuine.

in the advert it says "speedo changed' does this mean the mileage quoted is on the new speedo. if yes what was the mileage on the replaced speedo?

So has anyone been out to have a squiz? Does sound a little 'sus' re the changed speedo... although at least that's being advertised..

I sent him a series of questions via Bikepoint re the speedo, service history, etc. I haven't had a response in 5 days. I do have his phone number so I might have to decided if I'm serious enough about it to bother ringing.

My neighbour bought a $8000 bmw on e-bay .Trouble was the bike didnt exist (he paid for it )
His wife wont let him buy another ,she says he has one already .
He is no fool but they got him on this one .
$8000 ouch ,

I'd say at that price, if it's genuine it would already be sold.

To me though, it looks a little too dirty and worn to have only 2500km on it

So I guess he must have cash transferred the money instead of paypal or pay-on-pick-up.
If your going to buy a motor vehicle for christ sake don't hand over your hard earned until your actually looking at it
