Gold and Black Bandit

First topic message reminder :

I was thinking about the chain and sprocket replacement that is coming up some time in the near future. I quite like the gold look against the black of the 2010+ Bandit and naturally though black bandit with gold chain and rear sprocket. So then i started thinking of adding gold bar end weights, being cheap to buy. But then I recalled those ZX12's and VFR800's with their gold rims - hmm might they look good on the Bandit with the aforementioned bling if I removed the tyres, brake rotors and had them painted? Anyone good with photoshop to do a mockup?

The big day - the wheels are on the bike!  I reckon they look tops.  Why doesn't Mr Suzuki offer a 'special' that looks like this.

That's my Yammy TRX850 Gus. It doesn't get out much.

I was thinking of risking Scarlett there again quite soon. Will put the word out in a couple of weeks.  I'll bring my own pad

My brother had a TRex and it was a great bike with a unique sound.

Masked off the tyre pressure info and painted the chain guard black.  Then found the left-over gold spray can and painted the rear peg brackets. 

Not sure about the pillion brackets without the rider heel guards being done.
Whats with the gold strip above the brackets too?

Chain guard gets my approval though.

I agree, need to do the heel guards and the bottom of the pegs.

2WA: the secret of the strip will be revealed to you next weekend.

MM: don't know about the forward peg brackets.  I have a feeling paint may quickly wear off and look like crap.  Might be ok if anodized but not sure if the colors will match. It's a tough one.

Powder coating would be the best option.

I'm thinking those bits will have to wait anyway.  With Spring here it's time to ride it, not paint it.  I'll defer the decision!  But definitely worth looking at whether we have anyone local who can do powdercoating.

Get back out there and clean your centre stand. Then give it a spray with satin or gloss black.    Please !

Jeez Hammy - to clean that I'd probably have to remove it and get it sandblasted!

The center stand does have a gloss finish. 
You just need to get the chain crap off.
