First topic message reminder :

Calling all Victorians (and everyone else)

Ewok and I are planning a ride to Healesville through the West Gippsland hills around 18, 19 or 20 August (sat, sun, mon)

A date will be confirmed a little later depending on who wants to come and when people might be available.

The plan is to meet others at Healesville's Beachworth Bakery for lunch then wander on to Sugarloaf Reservoir or Maroondah Reservoir which is just up the road. These locations should be convenient to Melb people.

Of course you can join us along the way for a ride up or tag along for the ride back.

Kaupy have a think about it. Its about the same distance

It might have been shit this morning, but this afternoon it was beautiful over Melbourne.

I've ordered a pleasant 18-20 degree day, with minimal cloud cover for the 18th!

I started with a kodak box brownie. It was my mums. Monochrome film. Ahhhhh those were the days.
Probably won't bring any more than a point and shoot on 18th.

Going to Mt Evelyn this Saturday so I'll check out the road for next week.

Not looking good, hopefully this changes for the better as the week moves on

The road from Euroa to Merton was covered in moss. Slowest ride route I've ever taken. Got wet at Coldstream. Wasn't taking the son over the spur to Healsville on the his new bike.

No. Picked up my son from Euroa to Merton,Yea,YarraGlen,Lilydale,Mt Evelyn, back to Yea,Seymour,Wang. The Hyosung ran on a mear sniff of fuel. If they made a 1000 or 1100 I'd buy one. Solid Frame, everything easily accessable and well set out.

@Jim C and anyone else tempting the weather from this direction on Sat we will be pushing off from Traralgon Maccas at 10:30 unless anyone else has a better time/location.
We will turn off the Princes Hwy at Nilma so yeah a quick 50km of Hwy but that might be the safest option given the forecast.

Just dug out a pair of the kids old floaties!
