Ive stayed at Rices log cabins ,there great .
Its a fantastic ride up there as well.

No i dont ,would be cheaper to rent this .


They say 2 nights but ive rented for 1 night .
Really 2 nights is better .1 day to ride there ,one day relaxing,ride home .
I'm sure if we wanted 4 cabins for one night, its as good as 2 cabins for 2 nights.
I'm open for ideas .

Think ill need a long weekend for that one boys, but will be heading south again before the end of the year

What do they charge Gus ?

About $200 a night so if there is 5 of you thats $40 each .Some sleep 20+ most about 8.

Sounds like a singles trip. The missus and I will wait for a trip that is bit more sedate
I am not sure but I think you would have to BYO food and booze if the maps are any indication.

Even if we had to book it for 2 nights and only stayed for 1, it would still work out to be a cheap get away.

Ive stayed there plenty of times .Best way is to get an idea of numbers and book a house to suit .No good booking for 12 and getting 4 .
Its about 2.5 hours from Sunshine coast .It will be cold outside .

A good idea might be to do a day run up there and get it sorted .Easy day run if you leave early .

It gives comprehensive reviews of the place by people that have visisted on day trips and longer. Most seem very good and only a few drawbacks. (ticks which will still be active in winter and the gympie gympie bushes/trees, super nasty ) It has a couple of different routes you can take to and from and I'm not sure if roadworks just prior to Blackbutt are still going but if they are you will have a 20 minute wait and get stuck behind all the slower traffic. That's via Kilcoy/Caboolture.

Everyone seems to have gone a little quiet on the Bunya Moutains destination. I hope I didn't put the mockers on it with my usual negativity Personally I think it would make a great daytrip with the view for a possible later weekend stopover.

Last time we went through we were delayed for 22 minutes But all the other times has only been about 15 minutes. It's ok if you can get to the front of the line and like I said there are a few different routes that can be taken.

I'll make some enquires .If Rices has 8 cabins and we book the lot it may be nice for couples to have a cabin to themselves .You know ,a wine ,
open fire and visitors sounds nice .
