HID lights - Page 2 Empty HID lights

Post  kewwig Wed 02 May 2012, 8:00 pm

First topic message reminder :

I am looking at replacing my low beam on my GSF1250 with a HID 55W 6000K setup. Lots of people raving about them in the US. Anyone on here done it for the Bandit and have any tips? I think I'll trigger it from the park lights so it doesn't dim on starting and bugger the ballast. Any advice out there?

Cheers

Here's mine beside a standard Bandit. The camera doesn't represent it as well as your eyes do. Much brighter and whiter and the standard setup looks yellow in comparison. I have got a set of 5000K 55W bulbs for $10 to try as well. Not quite as blue and closer to the standard light in terms of colour, but again much much brighter

HID upgrade done with factory kiss.

The electro magnet to change high to low works ok. There is no delay.

I switched the headlight so I can start the motor with light off.

I now need to get rid of the blue high beam indicator light in the tacho instrument case. It's too fn bright.Rolling Eyes
