Have a look here http://www.portablepct.com/fastlarry/banditfaq.htm#suspension the GSX750 option sounds tempting.

This guy had a good result from GSX1100 by the sound of it http://www.suzuki1200bandit.com/html/suspension.html

One option is to get yours rebuilt. They are serviceable. With a heavier spring for the extra weight that you carry. Ring around. Best of luck.

OK.. I have a 01-05 rebuilt bandit...a 06 gixx 1000...a 99-07busa and currently a 07-08 gixx in mine which I will be ditching soon to put a full remote opperated wilbirs in about 2weeks time.

Watch for the gix`s for what mods that have to be done for your year. From what I think I remember reading, the 07-08 fits straight into yours with not much hassle because I think yours and 07 are about 316mm each, hard to measure at the moment, cause its in my bike, but will be comming out. I`ve spent $$ alot on the 07-08 shock, rebuilt with gold valves new spring and to ohlins specs about a year ago, so I can`t give that one away so to speak, but I will be getting ride of it, the others make an offer plus post, but thats up to you, you might be going down a different path.

what are your eye centres?

the bandit is 325mm

the gixx is 06 325mm

the busa is 330mm
