Givi TPH02 Tank Bag
Apologies to Gus for mentioning the dreaded Givi word....
I got myself a Givi TPH02 Tanklock tank bag after Rustic101 managed to get a good deal. I used to have a Joe Rocket magnetic one but sold it as it scratched the butter that Suzuki passes as paint. This one has a mounting ring that bolts to the gas cap ring, and the bag clicks straight onto it in a second. The bag never touches the tank. The upper of the bag is a textured plastic, with a window that allows an i-Phone or similar to be displayed. There's a removable, soft-lined tray for sunglasses and keys.
It's only 4 litres, but it's a useful size for wallets, glasses etc and it looks good on the bike. Comes with a waterproof cover too, but looks like it would take a shower without too much drama.

Re: Givi TPH02 Tank Bag
I was tempted to buy one of these to put a camera in.
Are you able to remove the insert and make the space available maximum

Yes. A bit of velcro and otherwise just sits there

Re: Givi TPH02 Tank Bag
Nice write up.
I've fitted mine but need to take the C/F tank ring protector off to make the lock ring sit flush. Very very pleased with mine as it fits things like garage swipe card, smokes, keys and everything else that normally goes in the pockets or top box, meaning I have to get off or stand up to reach.
Also like the shoulder strap which allows me to sling it over my shoulder.
Size wise it fits my Nikon DX80 with 350mm Telephoto lens attached and room for the smaller lens.
The (close your eyes Gus) Givi saddle bags I've ordered are made of the same material as well.

Talked to Matt who said he thought he ordered them but forgot..... Apparently our tank packs were sitting on the wharf in Auckland for up to two weeks, hence the delay.

He locked in $220 including postage down here for the pair.

Hi there Hammy,
I did a bit of wrangling with Colmans Suzuki in Auckland. The price was $109(NZ) with free shipping to Wellington. I put an order in for a bit of kit and the sales guy locked in some prices at a very good deal.

Typical of Australian importers and suppliers. The Givi T491 will not be available in Oz for a few months. I could go and buy one online from UK or USA but that would mean buying unseen. So I will go over to the dealership and check out the T480. Arrrrr. Sorting out ya bike is kinda like sex. You can never really get exactly what you want. But it's always fun.

Recently been looking at a new can and found that I can buy one from the USA for well under half the price (including postage) than I can buy from a dealer here. Dealers need to wake up to the fact that unless they shift their margins they will lose out. People are a lot more save when it comes to shopping now, more so with the internet. Sadly most dealers don't give a fat rats arse.
Since buying my new baby I've spent $1426 and saved $1115 which I think is around 44%. The tragic thing is I'm still finding goodies to buy (after I've done some work on the house mind you). None of my spend was from the dealer I bought the bike from.
