Honda VTR1000 SP2
I see another white SP2 has come up for sale on Bikepoint. These are getting rarer and rarer and the prices are going up (and not slowly). Anyone with spare cash ......?
Nice Example

I don't care what bike it is, if they say no test rides, I don't part with my cash! A bloke needs to know what he's getting.

Yes, these things are rapidly becoming collector's items (if they haven'y already got that status) having been brought out as the homologation special to beat Ducati in the WSBK - which they successfully did. Hence the collector's value over the standard VTR1000 which you can buy at any price and it will depreciate rather than appreciate. My wife says if I delay retirement for an extra 3 months I can buy it - but work is shit and I hate my job! What a dlilemma - that thing would look great as part of a bar enclased in glass.

$13,500 should buy that. I could have a look for you mate. Then I could ride it up to you
If its the one you want its only a few grand. Its not an antique Farrari.
No test ride would be fine with me with LE or special builds. Its quite easy to check a bike over for damage. If someone isn't sure if the ride position doesn't suit go find one at a dealer.

Jesus mate, what a dilemma - the planets are aligning - this is worse (or better?) than a kid in the lolly shop. I'd better sleep on it. If it hasn't been sold by the end of the weekend I'll be contacting you on your offer to have a look (many thanks by the way for the extraordinary offer) - there is Ferrari value in these things I am convinced (that's what a couple of WSBK titles does for you). As you can tell from my post, I don't actually wan't to ride it (much), I just think a good example is going make money. getting excited now!

Yeah - have asked him for a VIN number for a REVs check given the NSW rego being sold from a Vic address - let's see what happens.

Whatever you do, don't do that! A bike with pedigree like that Honda deserves an honourable retirement with the throttle wide open.

Hey . That would be a good product logo. I wonder if any big sportswear manufacturer would be interested ?
