BanditDave from Mackay
I have been hanging around this forum for some time and thought it about time to fulfil my obligation to introduce myself.
I returned to road bikes around 2003 with a Suzuki Marauder. Not a very comfortable or fun bike but probably a good starter bike after a long absence.
My next bike was a K6 1200 which I rode for 55,000Km in 2 years.
In 2009 I bought the 1250 and still enjoying the experience although I spend far too much time working and not enough time riding.
Only got 25,000Km in 3 years.
My only significant modification is HID headlight which I regard as excellent.
I do all my own servicing and regard the Bandit as a very good bike to work on.
I think I'm not the oldest on this forum but pretty close.

Theyr'e a few more still to meet
If they were from Sarina they could all have the same surname.
I've been in Mackay for 14 years. When I first arrived it was a quiet sleepy place, now it is full of Mexicans and NSW folk. It's hell on the roads with such a mix.

Hey don't mouth off about us sarina people! I used to be in the old sleepy mackay town.. till it changed and decided I didn't like it as much to actually live in it
Not too bad down this way. Get some nice rides to the beaches. And up around the ranges.

Re: BanditDave from Mackay
Would be great, if I can squeeze it around work. However my bandit had a misshapen and has undergone some surgery. I am currently trying to Chase down someone to do a decent spray job on main fairing, as I have bought the paint and tried myself and failed
I am am gonna try some painting places tomorrow, can only hope they don't rip me off too bad.
Also anyone with so called oort grey... it is a standard Suzuki color also called old grey mica for the cars.

I think people say worse about some areas of the Pioneer Valley
I have a mate in Mackay (Andergrove) who does some backyard paint work. He recently did a job on my car which I am very happy with.
I can contact him and put you in touch if you like.

Re: BanditDave from Mackay
All good, I have done the rest of the work myself, and did try painting myself, which failed, so will spend some $$ getting it fixed up and done correctly this time.

Welcome Banditdave. I have always liked Mackay and will likely be up there for work in the near future. I might try and catch up with some of you CQ folk if I have the time.

Tropical Canberra
I've been in Queensland for more than 15 years.
Prior to that I lived in Canberra for 15 years.
I don't recall any tropical days down there.
Yep, look us up when you get here
