Thanks for sharing, some great reading.
What were you thinking, going through Braidwood, should have hung a right at Tarago.

Really top trip report there man - setting a high standard. Have to agree with your assessment of the Bright to Bruthen leg - did that this year for WSBK and am doing it again in 2012 (the other boys also requested a repeat run). Have to differ on the Orbost - Bombala bit though. It may have perfect radius bends but 125kms of them is hard work - you must be bloody fit!

Yeh, I agree. Looks like it was an awsome trip. I've now added a couple of extra roads on the bucket list, thanks to the great comentry. Good blog. Loved it.

Great write up. Would love to do that with my lovely wife on the back one day. I can;t understand the attraction of the Guzzi, I guess the noise is quite infectious. A mate has a Guzzi 1100 sport in black the same as your mates. He loves his Guzzi's so much he purchased a race only version a few years back. Apparently there is only a handful of these in Australia.. so much carbon fibre, it's a real work of art. It also sounds nothing like a road going Guzzi with a two into one tuned pipe.
Here's what it looks like MGS01
Still for the price comapred to the other bikes the Bandit is truly a cheap bang for buck muscle bike. It's total no frills, no one cares to look or talk about them (other than us of course). But they are reliable and are always able to scratch with sports bikes in the twisties no problem.
Hope you didn't get too big a pineapple. Here in WA that speed over means a flat bed truck (impounded bike for 28 days) and 6 months loss of license. Around $1500 in impound and fines Glad to hear it didn't dampen the mood.

Impossible not to love a Guzzi, reddog!
I own a Le Mans II, but recently took it off the road for a makeover, details in my other blog at:
Project Crossbow
As for the pineapple, yeah, you noticed, eh? As I stated in the blog, a certain amount of un-manly behaviour was involved in avoiding the dreaded flatbed truck...
