Flush Mount Indicators
I have come across some nice looking LED flush mount indicators that will fit perfectly into the recesses of the "S" fairing. Now while they would look smart and tidy, I'm just a bit concerned about their performance capabilities. In saying that, while I was tossing up the pros n cons I have come to the conclusion that the front indicators are not as important as the rears. Example: When you indicate to pass a vehicle in front most times, on a bike, you are passed him/her before they know it, and it is more important that the person behind you knows what you are up to. At an intersection, it is also more important that the persons behind you know what your intentions are. Having hard wired headlights these days makes you more visible.
Does anyone here have flush mounts ? And if so how do you find them, or better still , have you ridden with someone else who has them and how did they perform ?

Yes I have them... Just cheapies off Ebay. They are okay, but I am considering pulling them apart, ordering some decent LEDs and resoldering the lot or buying some better LED units like what Reardo has. If you like I'll try and get a pic of them.

Dhula... I'm running the SCA rear guard/LED combo on my DRZ and it is brilliant. Might drop in there and grab some, the flush mounts are not easy to see and will get me yellow stickered at some stage

Re: Flush Mount Indicators
I've been thinking about installing a pair of these flush mount LED indicators.... have you or anyone else done it yet?? If so, what do you think - are they a worthwhile accessory and where/what did you get?? Also, did you get another indicator relay or the 'resistor' set-up some are advertising on Ebay??

Not worth it. They are too dull and can't be seen at certain angles.
I just installed Rizoma track 77's on the Back of my Bandit and they are very nice (and bright)

Thanks - all I need to know! Was thinking that they would look nice but was concerned about the visibility aspect from front/side on...

I can see the problem with the flush mounted ones - the forward facing indicators are much more visible.

Re: Flush Mount Indicators
I have the flushmounts in conjunction with the LED mirrors. Plenty of visibility.

Ross.. the pic of the back of my bike is with the same indiocators you used. In the day they are about as crappy as the flush mounts to be honest. Once you see a decent indicator like the Barracuda or Rizoma LEDs you'll wonder why you wasted your money on the cheap chinese ones.
BTW the cheap chinese ones I also have on my dirt bike and they have already vibrated most of the LEDs out. I ended up resoldering them, but it'll only be a matter of time before they let go again

Rizoma Track 77's

Looking very nice, good for visability on the road from other drivers who have been driving for 20 years and are still learning
May invest in a pair for the rear. Are they an easy job to install?
Flush for the front sounds like the good though.....

They are easy to install the rears. Just make sure you buy the indicator plates as well. Buy a decent brand you'll thank me for it. I have wasted money buying shit ones off ebay
