Re: Bandits Gone.
I used to have a dr650 fully kitted out for dirt touring, but they just don't cut it in the dirt cred of the 400s. It is lifestyle choice. My 2 sons and I ride together and it's just a better family choice. Some of you will get this, but even on the first night setting up the bikes we were in the shed just having a great time. The Bandit was less inclusive. I'm not explaining it very well but, it is what it is. To cut a long story short, I'm having a f&^%&^%n ball. I rode one the other day with road wheels ( motard) and there is no way I could ride that hard on the Bandit. Just fun.
Oh and I've decided I'm not going anywhere, (unless Cam throws me out ) I'm staying.

We just need to change the wording on the header to "riders and fans of the Suzuki....."

If I was allowed two bike a drz would be the second. road registered so I could go off road with friends on the weekend...
Not as much fun riding in a group on the road as it is in the bush.... although i have no trial bike experience, I'm talking from a mountain bike point of view. I assume it translates to trailies though

Re: Bandits Gone.
Good stuff Saikhan. I have a K9 DRZ400E (as well as the Bandit) and so far it has been brilliant. I am going to spend some money on the front suspension shortly as I am sick of it washing out from under me. Other than that slight problem they are bulletproof. Make sure you get bash plate, case savers, get rid of the poxy stock bars and grab some hand guards if you haven't already.
I too can't wait for my little boy to get a bit older so we can start doing little trips on the dirt bikes. I rebuilt a 2001 Honda XR50R for my son and recently picked up a 2004 Honda CRF230F for my wife. With a dirt bike no one is worried about speed cameras etc. just having fun is what it is all about.
BTW pics or it didn't happen I'll see if I can grab a few of mine.
I'm waiting on a set of 2" Rox bar risers. When they arrive and I fit them up I'll let you know what I think of them.

Yeh yeh... I'll get the picks up soon. The first night we put renthals and risers and barkbusters on. I have B&B bashplates ordered and case savers and needle and jets. Haven't ordered the safari tanks yet. My son says he "doesn't want one of those poxy looking things on any bike he will be seen riding" He'll just do as he's told. The wheels go in to the shop tomorrow to be reshod with D952s all round, the standard tyres are a deathtrap in the dirt.
