New Suzuki 750 .
Went and had a look at the new Suzuki naked 750 today. This is what i saw through my eyes .
The worst exhaust system i have ever had the displeasure of looking at in my entire life . The welding deplorable .The o2 sen pointing to the
outside so it has to have a plate to stop it being knocked off .More bad welding .More wires with the cover cut too short .What is with that An ex-up type box on the exhaust with cables . Mid pipe that just
doesnt fit properly .Clamps used with a bolt that is 40 mm too long .For god sake SUZUKI get some shorter bolts!!!!!An end can that is just UGLY .
Lets go to the other side .
Rubber tubes going all over each other in all direction held on by those cheap bendy alloy things .If that was my back yard the council would be
onto me .
Lets go to the tail.
PLASTIC .miles of the stuff .Long and droopy . You would have to rip it off which makes the bike Illegal ,
The front - Try hard Alien want to be .
The good points
The red was a nice colour.
Was this bike assembled in Japan .Really, really disappointed Suzuki . In fact i was pissed off .I'm a Suzuki fan but i wont be if thats the best you
can do .
Sorry about this rant but what happened to build QUALITY .
Whats going on with bike shops these days , i'm not everyones BRO ther

Thats a dissapointment Gus because the GSR600 is a sweet looking bike.
I'm thinking 3 cylinders for my next bike.
Here's an angry pic for you

Actually take away the monicle and thats pretty close . :
I was so disappointed (in case you missed it ) Go and have a look , maybe i'm missing something .
Why use a bolt that leaves 40 mm of thread poking out the other side ?
Are these bikes being assembled in KOREA or somewhere else like that . The standard was that bad i'm finding hard to believe it came from Japan .

Re: New Suzuki 750 .
That is a shame Gus, and I hope it is not a sign of things to come as the job of selling 'new' bikes will just get harder and harder if the qaulity slips. I know that most new machines dont come fully assembled and that there is a small amount for the shop to do, so maybe it was the 1st year apprentice mechanics fault. By the way , what is the exact model 750 that you are referring to ?

Re: New Suzuki 750 .
Its not the look of the bike that upsets me its the lack of thought gone into it .It wreaks of "dont worry about it , no-one will notice "
Slap it together ,come on ,any bolt will do mentality .
There was a bolt on the Triumph that was too long .When you sat on the bike it moved down wards and scratched the side of the swing arm .
I ve got a mind to go back and ask "why is that bolt 40mm too long " Aerodynamics probably.

Re: New Suzuki 750 .
You didnt comment on the ZZR250 looking rear swing arm Gus. Is it as whimpy as it looks in the pics?
The GSR650 has always looked like a great package to me and I was hoping the 750 would be as well but the first thing I noticed in pics was the girly swinger. Never seen one in the flesh. Some matkets have the GSR400 too and if they were LAMS they would flog the CB400.
Overall I think they are what the Bandit should have evolved into (think early hoon Bandits)

Re: New Suzuki 750 .
Yes it did look small compared to the bandit .The whole bike looked small which i quite liked .
I did comment to one sales guy (bro) on the exhaust .He said they were trying to make it look tough like an arrow system .
Better learn to weld first .You know how exhaust when they fit over other parts tend to have about 4 cut out so the can expand or the clamp
can tighten them up ? Well the slots were bigger than the clamps so you got to see where all the joins were.
This bike is sounding like a trip to the dealer IS worth while for a change . :
Look ,some people will love it .Maybe a sales hit ,its just what i saw .I didnt ride it maybe that will save it .I hope not ,i want better .

Re: New Suzuki 750 .
I'm going to see if I can get a test ride locally on a 750. The 05 GSXR750 I rode before buying the Bandit was a brilliant bike, but my leg kept popping out of it's socket because of the riding position. Other than that it was a blast to ride

Now i'm REALLY interested .I looked at an RSV 4 yesterday .The attention to detail it was BEAUTIFULL .I know expensive but you could
park it in your lounge room and admire it for 2 weeks before you even bothered to ride it .
