Delkevic Cans Empty Delkevic Cans

Post  geekay007 Fri 17 Jun 2011, 6:41 am

G'day,
Has anyone got a Delkevic can on their bikes or ever used one? Looked at Staintune but they want $700. I can't find any Leo Vince online in OZ, the US supplier can ship it to Oz for under $400, so that's a possibility, and Delkevic will ship for about $370. Any feedback would be great.

Cheers

Thanks Greg,

I wanted to go for an Aussie brand, plus they use 304 stainless like the Staintune, whereas the Leo Vince I saw was Aluminium. I saw the Delkevic page on ebay and this one in particular

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270616896905&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:AU:

Is that the same one you've got Greg? What are the welds like on your can and the finish etc? Also any difference in performance with the restrictor out vs in? I've heard from guys with the Yoshi can that it actually goes worse with the restrictor out.

Cheers mate

george,
i got mine from this forum.forget who
it was already used and cheap
posted to me for about $150 ish
put it on and felt a better quality from the bike.
maybe it was me grabing more hand cause of the noise
don`t know.the bike performs a lot better from my feel.
there are no welds just rivets.looks good and it`s chrome
the sign on the side is www.delkevic.com.uk.
so i gather it`s pom
regardless the thing is great.it`s loud so the tin heads can hear me and there is a much better responce
from my feel.i love it,just the way i want it
i take the restricter out and put it in on and off.the only difference is the noise and my right hand
it`s a good can for a good price.does not matter what can you put on the girl
she will go just as well.she`s a suzuki.more noise just makes you grab more throttle
i use high octane fuel no argument
go for it mate
ride safe

I think I might go for one of those, you've convinced me mate! I was going to go for a Yoshi, living in Japan at the moment I'd've thought they'd be cheaper but no. I got quoted 77,000 yen (about $900) to have one fitted! I 'm returning to Oz next week so I'll order one from fleabay, they want $370 inc. shipping.

Cheers mate.

A simple tiny L bracket a hole each end ,rubber bung one end and the other connected to a longer bolt that passes through that cover plate fixes that.
Used it for a year like that .Can send pic .

They may have a japanese sounding name but they are made in USA. So wouldn't be cheaper where you are. I got mine off ebay from the states for about that price($370).

Thanks for the feedback gents. I think I'll go for the delkevic oval can; seems the best value for money for a new can. When I return to Japan I'll do the secondectomy at the same time.

Cheers
