Excuse me if this is a re-post but i carnt remember if i have seen it here before . There is enough new members so no harm .
Check the nut on the end of this metal thread ,it rubs against the cables . Mine has a cardboard packer behind it .Not sure if i put it there though .
The design may have changed but worth a look , behind RH side cover.

Well spotted. I checked mine, and although the cabling doesn't sit as low, it was rubbing on the frame of the reservoir bracket (the pointy bit just above the head of the bolt - in fact you can see the dent in the cable). I put a cable tie around the whole cable and snugged it up to the frame to keep it away from anything metal and pointy.

Makes you wonder what else is rubbing. Some people have had issues with one of the clips holding the pair line at the top front of the engine put on upside down, meaning the sharp clamp part has rubbed a small hole in it (checked mine and it was OK)
