Have to a trip next week but have 5200ks up, service at 6000, trip will be 1300 round trip. How many ks do they allow you to go over? Or just take the car?

Ride the bikeif the weather is reasonable. 500ks over is not a big one unless the gear changes are feeling a bit clunky.

I would service early but if you dont, just trundelling down a highway wont be an issue.
I dont know if there is a "rule" but I'd think 10% would be all I'd push the servicing if I had to.

Thanks for all the advice guys, looks like we are taking the car. The boss will not travel that far on two wheels anymore, probly for the better. Taking 2 wks holidays in june so service will be done by then and maybe go a bit further to brisbane and get a set of tyres at the same time.

You may find tyres cheaper on the Sunshine Coast $450 fitted PR3 or 2.

I often go a couple of thousand K's over the scheduled service and have had no issues at all. Sometimes you have no choice if you can't get it booked in for a couple of weeks.
