Which tyre are you going to buy next
Poll: Which tyres
Lets see which tyre is most preferred by Bandit riders.
So far I have used crap stock Dunlop, Metzeler and Michelin PR2.
PR2 are my preferred so far. Would be keen to see what PR3 can offer.
However, all boils down to price.
Stock Dunlop has put me off ALL Dunlops.

Re: Poll: Which tyres
Apart from the poor mileage of the D218 I liked them.
I think it depends on how and where you ride and the conditions you ride in.
As a point the PR2's have given me many more Spincter puckering moments.

Re: Poll: Which tyres
i worked through the stock dunlops, & didn't really know what they were like as I had nothing to compare them to.
replaced them with pr2's, which I find great, but again I've only got the 2 to compare between!
pr3's have had some good write ups overseas, so I'd lean towards giving them a crack next time around.

BT016 on the front
BT021 on the back.
If I was staying with the bandit I'd most probably stick with this or go with a BT023 on the back instead of the 021 to get a duel compound and a bit better wear in the center of the tyre

Got rid of the stock rubber and put on Metzeler Z6's. Got 12500 out of the front, put a Z8 on last week. Read a few reviews, seem to be fairly popular with the sports bikes too.

Re: Poll: Which tyres
I threw the front OEM Macadam away after 8000km and put a Metzler M1 on. Transformed the bike. I then used meztler M1's (front) and Z6's (rear) for a while. When they stopped making the M1 I stopped using Metzlers. I tried an Avon Storm on the front, not bad but not brilliant either. Last tyre change I put a PR2 on the back and later a PR2 on the front. I will be putting PR2's on again, given I can get them. If I can't I'll try the PR3.

How are the continentals? I take it road attacks? There is a different compound for heavier bikes too I beleive.
I like Bridgestone 021's and will ahve a matched 023 pair on shortly once I toast the rear tyre in the next 1000 kms.

Re: Poll: Which tyres
At the moment i have PR2's.
And ill keep them because of the km i can get.
But my favourite tyres so far are the Pirelli diablo rossos. Will get them again if i ever decide to bring the bandit back out to the track.

I have about 4K on my Metzler roadtech Z8s. They're comfortable and stick like shit to a blanket, even in the wet. They don't look like they have worn at all so far. Very happy.
