What to you recommend for cleaning and polishing up the downpipes?

I've used some 0000 steel wool and dish liquid, then a light rub with the 0000 and metal polish on some 30 yo pipes.

On the internet there are a few posts where Harpic x10 plus is highly recommended. From the videos on u-tube it appears to do a really good job with minimal effort.

I use autosol and elbow grease .
