Hey crew,
I’ve long been an admirer of the Bandit. I’m finally in a position to buy one. Currently on the lookout for a 1250sa. Any hints or tips are appreciated.

Welcome to the forum, they are in the main bullet proof so long a they're treated right, serviced regularly etc,

Other than service history and a look over by someone bike knowledgeable (you or someone else) I can't think of too much. If you see light rust on bolt heads etc it could indicate that it's spent a fair bit of it's life outside

Welcome to the forum , you could also check any. recalls have been done by giving a Suzuki dealer your VIN .The only other problems that may occur  are the neutral switch , and a blocked fuel pump filter ,both of which don't occur to all bandits , but are known problems to most makes and models of modern bikes . Other than that , and a not overly bright headlight for country night riding , they are a good all rounder and should serve you well .

If you get a test ride, give it a big handful of throttle in 4th at 50kmh, if it bogs down or runs out of go past 4000rpm it's 99% the filter.
A Great all-rounder.

If you buy one and get fuelling issues check this forum for the blocked fuel pump fix- you’ll potentially save yourself 6-700 dollars. Fairly easy to fix with only a cheap teabag filter to replace if you know how to do the job properly as has been detailed here,
