Not a Bandit owner yet!
Hi,
Thought I'd just drop a quick note before I add a WTB into the forsale section.
I currently have a Diavel which I love, but commuting is putting too many KM on it and stop start traffic with the big v-twin is a chore.
I've been looking at the Bandits and they look just the ticket, lots of low down torque and a fairly upright riding position and ability to do some touring (which the Duc isn't that suited to).
Hopefully soon I'll pickup a late model, low km bandit to add to the stable.
Cheers,
Rob.

Don't be too dismissive of bikes with a few more km under the belt.
So long as they have been looked after there are bargains to be had.

Hi Rob. I'd second what Bosco said (added comments to your other thread).

Re: Not a Bandit owner yet!
I'm from Newcastle.
Picked up a faired bandit on the weekend:
9500km, not a scratch on it.
Don't think its been ridden much lately, need to change the oil, sight glass is slightly milky, fuel that was in it was stale I think (much more power with newer fuel) and front/rear tyres had 23psi in them which made the handling strange to say the least, first roundabout I went to turn right and ended up going straight because it felt so strange!
Front tyre is nackered (it's shaped like a V haha), feels like you're going to tip over if you tip it in too quick.
Very nimble and smooth compared to the Diavel, they're like chalk and cheese, exactly what I wanted!
Will take another pic soon with both bikes in shot.
Top box is handy, even used to first day to pickup some ice blocks from the shops for the kids

Another happy Bandit owner. Good luck with the new bike. For the money you certainly can't complain.

looks nice. Shame that that ugly "cat" is still on it though. Can't wait to see your Diavel. So you think the Diavel ride is a little rough compared to the Suzi ?

Re: Not a Bandit owner yet!
The Diavel feels a lot heavier, even though it's probably 20-30kg lighter. With the 240 section rear tyre, you need to muscle it into corners by comparison.
The suspension is quite firm too, and the lumpy twin surges at low rpm, but when you crack the throttle and release the 162HP, the sound of the L-Twin is out of this world IMO.
It's good to have two bikes as you quickly get used to one and lose appreciation. My hope is by having two bikes that are completely different I'll try and avoid being on the upgrade merry-go-round ... haha we'll see.
