Doesn't it have a cover on the outside (chrome or silver )?

Nah, it's just the raw box the way Suzuki designed it.

Once you've removed the throttle bodies it would be pretty easy I reckon.  Might have to slip off the air filter top as well, but that's only 4 screws.
