Replacement screen suggestions
I just bought a 2008 GSF1250S and the screen is a bit worn with scratches etc. Does anyone know which screens are compatible with the 1250S, for example some screens I have seen say compatible with 600S, 1200S and 1250S. What is the cheapest replacement I can get? I don't need anything fancy, even stock height is fine.

Re: Replacement screen suggestions
The oil cooled 2006 1200 has a lot of the same parts as the fuel injected 2007+ 1250, the same with the 650F. If you cross reference the part numbers at one of the online parts stores you can usually see whether they use the same item.; ie Alpha Sports
There are a heap of different screens that will fit your model, it's not unusual to go through 2 or 3 screens to get one that suits, and surprisingly a lot of riders come back to the original OEM screen as the quietest and least buffeting.
Also try a Wanted ad in the For Sale section , you might get one at a very cheap price.

I had a screen that had done about 100,000km and it was pretty yellow and scratched.
I used normal cut and polish on it and it came up brand new. The 'cut' part didn't seem right but the result was amazing. Start on a little corner if you are a bit sus.

What is cut and polish, is that a particular product?
