Seat Rebuilt 1200S Bandit
Hello all, I thought I would show you some pics of my seat that I had rebuilt.
My previous bike was a GSX1400 and my wife loved the pillion seat, she now has an issue with a disc in her lower back and was looking for a bit more comfort for the longer rides on the bandit.
Firstly I bought a second hand seat off Ebay for the right price so that I could also keep the original.
I had East side Kustom Trim do the work for my and I am very happy with the end result, he built up the rear seat around the edges and front and covered that section in the same vinyl he uses on motorcross seats so it should not be too slippery. I also had him build up the front of the seat, as I have raised the rear slightly I find I slip into the tank a bit, this has solved that problem.
I was happy with his work and price$350.00 He is a regular winner for car interiors at the Summernats, I believe he has taken out top interior on four occasions.
You will see in the pics where he has added the foam to build it up, he then covers the whole thing with another layer of foam to make sure it is smooth.
