All bike drags @ Kwinana motorplex tomorrow

So is anyone going along?

We should be there.My wife and I just made a shirt for my son Joshua, "My Dads bike is faster than your Dads bike" If I bring the bike along I doubt I'll set the world on fire as I've never done any drags and the bike is really a tourer. Be good to see how quick it goes over the 1/4 though. Bandit power!!!

recon the bandit will hold it's own on the strip and probably surprise a few.
am considering going as a spectator but it will depend on what time the mrs gets home and how tired she is as she's just had a week away with 400-500 screaming kids (anual army cadet camp)

Well just got home not long ago. I really surprised myself and the bike went well after a 160 odd km journey to the drag strip in Kwinana

I did a personal best because I never had a crack at drags before 11.370 @ 194.66kph

Not bad for a 250 kilo bike with a heavy 85Kg pilot

My wife got a reasonable shot of me lofting the wheel off the line, will post it later. Makes me look like I know what I am doing haha

Other than an altercation with the bikies it was a pretty good day. I was eliminated by a mate on an R6, lost the race at the line as my reaction times were pretty ordinary.

Bikies hate us because we pay 1/3 of wot they pay for there bikes and can kick there arses all day long

Reardo: Yep that's the one in the news. There were 4 different "gangs" there if I rememember correctly. 2 of them got stuck into each other. It just spilled over right near where we were setup with the Aussistreetbikes.com guys.

So what times have any of you guys got so far?

I think 11.3 is pretty reasonable for a touring bike. The GSXR1000's were just cracking into the 10's so they weren't beating me by a big margin considering they've got at least 40Hp on the Bandit and are lighter.

My best is 11.54 pretty happy with that.

haha. thats ok. I wont take any action just yet.
Ill head out to the track in a couple of weeks time. Ill just have to have a redbull or two just before i head out.
