Yoshi R77 Carbon Muffler
Have done enough k's now to say I really like the looks and the sound of the Yoshi pipe. Did plenty of tests with the noise suppressor in and then out - decided I like "out" the best. Less buzzy without the baffle, and the open pipe isn't rediculously loud - loud enough to warn the tin tops you're around though.

Re: Yoshi R77 Carbon Muffler
After almost 2 and a half months of being dicked around, I finally picked up my Yoshy carbon last night. 4kg weight saving and now it sounds like a real bike again.

Except when going down a steep hill on part throttle, it sounds like fireworks going off

If you can afford it, do it!!! I had the SS on the 650 and it is a million times better looking than stock. It also has the bracket for the centrestand rubber stop.whitey1 wrote:Just been looking at yoshis on ebay. I'm looking at R77 SS with CF end. $380 US + $60 US post. Very tempted

Re: Yoshi R77 Carbon Muffler
Got my Yoshi today Couldnt wait so put it on during morning smoko. Only took about 15 mins, easy as. Gives it a much deeper growl, so much better. Riding around today it seems a tad loud so will put the insert in that came with it to see what that does. The snap, crackle and pop is quite loud too so might end up doing the pair mod. Started it up without muffler on.....
I'll post some pics maybe tomorrow.

Re: Yoshi R77 Carbon Muffler
If you want to plug the PAIR here is how I did it on the GSX650F.
1. Remove the fuel tank as per instructions in the user manual/service manual
Pic of fuel tank removed
2. Find the PAIR hose. Then split it at this joint
]
3. Remove the hollow tube and fit something solid in it's place.
Here is what I used. It's a 12mm bolt that I had lying around the shed
And almost ready to fit in the hose
Once done put everything back together and your done.
Unfortunately I don't have pics of doing it on the bandit, but if you have the S or naked version you don't have to remove the tank if you don't want to. You will find the hose in question just above the cam/valve cover on the right hand side of the bike. The join is just behind #4 coil

Re: Yoshi R77 Carbon Muffler
got this about a week ago, easy to put on, sounds great (with the low-noise insert in), lost lots of weight and now getting better fuel efficiency.
pretty glad I put it on

that;s another good thing I'm glad I bought. its a Ventura but there are two sizes available, this is the larger size (I think it expands to 22 litres), about $120.
I'm told I have it on backwards .. but I like it this way cos the handle is not sticking in your back.

Re: Yoshi R77 Carbon Muffler
very nice Baz!
+1 on the tail bag - I also have the Ventura.
word of warning - watch the stitching near the connectors. mine is only 12 months old (with 3 months of none use), & is starting to pull away.
also, don't accidentally step on the plastic connectors breaking them. it makes using it a tad awkward.

Looks the "Biz" "Baz". Now just replace those ugly indicators for some sexy LEDs and she will look awsome.
