Recommend me a handlebar phone mount
Hi,
I have a Google Nexus 5 that I'd like to mount occasionally to the handlebars,
can someone recommend a product/solution ?.
I did search, but didn't come up with anything specific.
TIA.

Ram Mounts on the head stem nut or handlebars then a device called a quadlock so no bastard nicks it.

I've got the lifeproof phone case on my iPhone, the handle bar mount for this case is great.

Re: Recommend me a handlebar phone mount
I use a Givi mount for my iPhone. The clamp stays on the bike and the phone in the weather RESISTANT case clips on using the same mechanism as their tank lock bags, there is also a velcro strap for added security. The phone works in the case. Its a bit harder but still possible with the extra rain proof cover on (this does work, I had a 6 hour ride in a downpour and the phone was perfectly dry.)
What I really like about it is I can unclip the phone when I am off the bike and take it with me with a minimum of fuss and whole package sits ok in a jacket pocket, ready to be clipped back on with an equal lack of fuss.

I've been using this for the last 6 months. Did the job 10/10 on my recent 11,800km "lap" down the centre and round the J-curve.

You put your phone in the protective case.
For a Nexus you might need the Universal kit, and glue the quad lock to the Nexus.

You mount the handlebar mount between the bar risers. You can use the neoprene rings or the cable ties. I used both. Didn't budge a millimetre.
Put the "poncho" on when it rains.
You don't need a lock, because when you park the bike and remove the keys, you press down on the blue bit, rotate the phone 45 degrees, and lift it off and put it in your pocket where it belongs
