Shoei Neotech or Schuberth C3?
Hi bandidos,
Am considering a new lid, have pretty much distilled the choices down to two.
Shoei Neotech or Schuberth C3. Both high end price and feature wise.
Currently using a Caberg Konda. Both replacement options would be lighter and the claims are for much quieter. I have a daily commute of 75kms each way plus weekend and evening riding and the odd overnight/weekend trip. So lightness and quietness are big for me.
I wondered if any of you lot can comment on either option I am thinking of?

Bit hard for us as we are obliged to buy the AS1698 version of helmets, many of which differ from the versions supplied to other markets.

I think they should be the same helmets sold here and NZ as the standard is actually AS/NZS 1698

A mate just got rid of his Schuberth as it leaked around the visor

I run the nolan n104, great lid, they rank it as highly as the shoei and is around half the price, I've also just purchased the ncom b4 plus Bluetooth system for it, coming from Germany, I love how it all intergrates into the helmet
This is my second n104 as I tested my first one on a pole when I stacked my roadie a couple of years ago, and it performed faultlessly even after a direct hit

I also have a Nolan N104 but I'm looking at changing it, and as it happens I was looking at either a Shoei RF1200 (Shoei NXR in Australia), a Shoei Neotec or a Schuberth C3 Pro.
I find the Nolan too noisy and want something quieter. Also the release button on my flip front broke so I have to use it as a full face helmet.

How old is the lid pale? They have a 5 yr warranty on them. I find mine a little noisier than my first n104 but its more from the jacket I'm wearing pushing wind up under the helmet.palexxxx wrote:I also have a Nolan N104 but I'm looking at changing it, and as it happens I was looking at either a Shoei RF1200 (Shoei NXR in Australia), a Shoei Neotec or a Schuberth C3 Pro.

^ My Nolan N104 is just over two years old. I took it back to where I bought it from (Kawasaki Big Bikes here in Chiang Mai, Thailand) they took my phone number and told me that they will be in touch, but of course they didn't contact me.
Hmm, now that I know that there is a 5 year warranty I'll have to try again.
Thanks for letting me know.
