Cold Start Stalling
First topic message reminder :
For about a month I've been battling a cold start issue.
First start of the day usually about 2 deg but whatever the temp is the B1250 fires and stops in about 2 seconds. Hitting the button again without doing anything else sees her settling into a regular idle with no other issues until the next cold start.
Any ideas?

The ecu is programed with the " data system " .When the key is turned the "josh plug " sends a rolecome reading to the articulate program which
in turn tells the clair meter it has to increase fuel .To do this the allier selenoil needs to be reprogramed so it cuts power .The second push of the button
the Obi Obi restrictor opens giving correct mixture .
Ps, had mushies for breakfast

I am running BP 98
Will give 91 a go to see if that fixes the problem.

Re: Cold Start Stalling
My Bandit sleeps in the garage most nights. On the occasion where it's been banished to spend the night outside, the 5am morning starts are exactly the same - no hesitation, coughs, splutters, or stalling. I've got a pro-oiler installed, so I wait for it to finish its "welcome" display before thumbing the starter button. She fires right up no problems. I run 98 (BP or Caltex), and the battery is still the original one (55k old).
Just thought I'd post my experience/observation.

Re: Cold Start Stalling
I put my 1st tank of 95 in on Sunday, yesterday and today, fired 1st push and never hesitated, problem solved!!Naw76 wrote:I only have the cold start problems during winter when I run 98 petrol. That's why I only run 95 in winter.
It's got to do the the different blends of petrol. Summer and Winter.

Looking at it they use more butane to blend the fuel in winter than summer due to emissions.
Another option is that get your hands on a TEKA or YOSHI BOX and up your idle fuel.
