No new Bandits in dealers?
I haven't seen any new Bandits in stock for a while.
Do the current year model come in the dark blue like my 08 or is it the light blue like on the Suzuki web site

Re: No new Bandits in dealers?
Went to Peter Stevens on the weekend to get a quote for change over from my DL 1000 and they had none on the floor, they are available but I think the blue colour is slightly different this year.

Re: No new Bandits in dealers?
The grey frame and panels put me off.
Dont mind the body colours but the grey clashes with most/all in my opinion.

Re: No new Bandits in dealers?
just rang a big Sydney dealer inquiring about a new Bandit. He said he hasn't had a new Bandit in a long time then looked up his book and said
2012 model $14700 but couldn't tell me if that meant build date 2012 or not.

As far as I know either the GSF isnt made any more or isnt being brought to Aust so the 2012 model sounds about right.
Thats why I'm looking at Kawa or Honda for my next mount. Great move Suzuki

Re: No new Bandits in dealers?
I just checked the Suzuki Australia website, the 1250SA is still there, no naked Bandits and none without ABS anymore

Re: No new Bandits in dealers?
Looks like 1250 variants and the little brother 650 models are all 2012 vintage at best.
Not sure what they'll be asking price wise but if wanting new I'd certainly be trying to talk down $$$ or get some accessories or clothing or servicing thrown in if you can.

Re: No new Bandits in dealers?
hard to justify what they are asking when there are newer designs around these days
thing is I do like my Bandit just have to figure out if I really want new or spend some coin on what I have now

Re: No new Bandits in dealers?
My opinion is to stick with your '08. It's the same as the '12 unless you get the fully faired model and then the changes are mostly cosmetic anyways.
I don't see it as worthwhile dropping $$$ to buy the same bike only newer and with less kms when by spending a small amount you can bike on for a long while longer.

Re: No new Bandits in dealers?
V17R, I was in Griffith yesterday and there was a brand new GSX1250FA all black and shiney for $11,990 in a dealership there. Im pretty sure he said it was a 2014 model. He was the worlds greatest salesman however. My mate and I walked in to have a look around and kill some time. Within no time he had a tape measure out like an Italian tailor, whacked it around my scone and I walked out $379 poorer with a new lid before I realised what was happening. Review pending.

I need to remind myself never to go shopping with myself. Its even worse when I get home I have a slanging match with myself about how much Ive spent! I really don't know how I live with myself.

I'm about to cut the straps off mine and send the photos to IMR as an insurance claim. My next lid might only cost me $50

Re: No new Bandits in dealers?
I just got my late model 2012 bandit for 11490 on road, was happy with that price for a brand new bike with zero k's and I've still got the warranty worst case.

Re: No new Bandits in dealers?
I paid $12000 with panniers and on roads in Oct 08 and it was good value then. Sold the panniers still in boxes for $1000 so I was and still happy.
Time to update though.
