after a coulpe of months....
been riding the Bandit regularly now for a couple of months and have been happy overall
one strange thing is I get some forearm pain which I think might be because of the way the standard bars turn inwards.
Has anyone else had this problem, if so did you change to a different bar setup? Also was wondering about the weight of the standard muffler.
A couple of aftermarket brands say they save weight but I would like to know how much the standard weighs in comparison.

Have you tried rotating the bars (either way) to change the angle and see if you can relieve the pressure?
You wont notice any weight reduction you get by changing the exhaust... it is done for horsepower (possible increase) and aesthetics.

Arm Pump. Very common in moto-x. Try not to grip the bars tightly. I have a standard muff in the shed. will weigh it later and let you know. There is a big saving.

Apart from the warm fuzzy, how is this reduction apparent when riding the motorcycle?

Hi V17R
I too did not like the way the bars are bent inwards.
So after a lot of searching for after market ones I just decided to modify the standard ones which I am really happy with now.

I agree, exhaust alone not enough difference , but take of centre stand as well and your getting somewhere .
My biggest complaint about the bandit was it was TOO HEAVY .

I too took off the C stand. Looks a lot better as well as the weight saving. Paddock stands are good. Renthal ultra low streets are great.

Re: after a coulpe of months....
thanks for the reply's, I will have a go at rotating the bars and see how that feels.
Haven't had this problem before it rotating doesn't help might have to look at the Ultra Low's Hammy mentioned.
I don't find the bike too heavy but its always good to shed a few kilos regardless , besides I'm always interested in mods
