Poor young D R.
Poor young Daniel Riccairdo. What the hell was Red Bull thinkin' ? Surely all the teams have someone that fully understands the rules before each season. Hope this does not effect him for the rest of the year.

Hammy redbull are blaming the fuel flow meter. article
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
Red Bull is appealing the stewards’ decision. Former Minardi team owner Paul Stoddart reckons there’s a good chance it will be overturned.
“Daniel did not gain any advantage and that will be proven by Red Bull in their appeal,’’ Mr Stoddart told 3AW radio in Melbourne.
WHY RICCIARDO WILL WIN HIS APPEAL
“They’ll be able to prove that he didn’t gain an advantage, that the team felt what they did was right, that they were following their own sensor from the actual fuel injection system on the engine.
“We’re talking teams with budgets of $400-$500 million here - they have far better equipment than the FIA.’’
Either way I can't understand why this rule is in place. Restricting the fuel flow stifles performance. Isn't performance what a motor race is about

It is a real shame for Dan, but either way, he put in a great performance and management and other teams will recognise that. Its just a shame he can't keep the trophy, but atleast he has some nice photo's of his time in the spotlight.
I don't think he'll come out of this in a negative way and has managed to get a lot of Australia behind him, not only just the F1 devotees that knew how good he is. It'll help him get some more personal sponsors. As Christian Horner said, a toothpaste company could do quite well with Dan, showing off his pearly whites everywhere.
Well done Dan and it looks like we'll have another Aussie in the F1's for a few years to come.
We need riders in the MotoGP to follow his lead. Go Broc Parkes this weekend.
Also Jack Miller is a big chance for the Moto3 wins this year - c'mon Aussies!!!
