Houston, we have Yoshi
First topic message reminder :
R77 Carbon/Carbon has been fitted. Really like the fit and finish of the Yoshi it's well tucked in and clearance around the rearsets is good.

Pretty sure they have only 1 Titanium/carbon Yoshi left in stock.avandr wrote:Is Titanium / Carbon Yoshi? and is it available?Hammy wrote:Tyler from SoloMoto just emailed me and informed me that they will not have the carbon/carbon till mid Jan'. I told him I will wait. Even though I was tempted to go the titanium/carbon.
I would prefer Yoshi over the Akrapovic.

Just personal taste. My silver Bandit looks too silvery as it is. I think.Truck bandit wrote:Go the Titanium or Stainless/Stainless. it's more bling and comes up real nice when you clean the bike.
The carbon look is getting tired i think and the workmanship can be seen in the Titanium and Stainless ones.
Either way they sound good and they are way better than the standard pipe!

The one on the right is actually Titanium/carbon. The left one they call carbon/carbon. ????????barry_mcki wrote:Four in their R77 range:avandr wrote:Is Titanium / Carbon Yoshi? and is it available?Hammy wrote:Tyler from SoloMoto just emailed me and informed me that they will not have the carbon/carbon till mid Jan'. Re: Houston, we have Yoshi
Solo have great service. I've probably told every one this before but.
When I wanted Arrow Headers, They didn't have them listed for Bandit's.
So I sent them a email to see if they could get them. There reply was Yes, Landed on your door step in 2 weeks for about $515. Almost half the price of the oz dealer. So they listed it for me and I ordered it.
I got an notification a couple days later to say it had landed in the US from Italy and forwarded on.
10 days after ordering it arrived. Awesome service!

Re: Houston, we have Yoshi
I'd be going the other way. Akropovic are beautifully made exhausts.
MMMmmm Akro!
They do carbon too
But I do like Arrow
Here's the others they do... I'm seriously thinking about offloading my Titanium Yoshimura and going Arrow full system as I have the headers already

Re: Houston, we have Yoshi
Akro are too long for the bandit. They do make real nice shorter versions for sports bikes that could be made to fit!
I too like the shorter Arrows!
But the R-77 is one of the nicest pipes on the market.

Any of those pipes will be better than the standard and they all have the same basic shape don't they.
Check out pipes on bikes out on the road and as the others have said, go for good quality finish.
The sound and finish is more of a factor than performance.
Who rides around using all 120Hp all the time anyway.
The Bandit just loves surfing the meaty torque curve ad mid revs anyway.
Horsepower is just a talking pioint to bring up at the pub.
The owners of the Aprilia RSV4 or BMW S100RR still can only do the speed limit on the road like the rest of us and have probably used all 180 Hp on very limited occasions.
I do like that Burgundy coloured Bandit posted above - what year model is that?

The burgundy was only delivered here in the Naked, we missed out on the colour in the S variant. I believe most members call the colour pink anyhow

I agree with akra, but they aint cheap, they don`t make them for the 1200 anymore but can still get old stock from England, landed full system$1800...give it a miss.reddog wrote:I'd be going the other way. Akropovic are beautifully made exhausts.

when I put my brand X can on 7yrs ago, an akra full system in AUS was $2500...once again...NO
But they are nice!

You can get an Arrow full system for under $1000. I can vouch for the quality, I've had mine for a couple of years and they still look mint. Not many people can pick them unless you point it out. Best of all is the weight saving. Last time I weighed the silver bullet with a full tank of fuel it weighed around 240kgs which isn't too bad for a full steel sports tourer.
