Torque Wrench recommendations
Lots of stuff to do with maintenance on a Bandit requires quite specific tightening - alloy components are easily stripped I imagine. Does anyone who does DIY bike work have a suggestion as to size and brand and source of a suitable torque-wrench. Do you need a "big" and a "little" wrench to cover the range, or can one size fit all?

Re: Torque Wrench recommendations
I have 2 that I use on bikes
a 1/2 drive 30Nm - 160Nm or there abouts and a 1/4 drive 4-30Nm
I also have a range of adapters so I can use most of my socket on either one (I could even use my 3/4 drive stuff on the 1/4 drive tork wrench, not that i would)
I also have a big muma 3/4 drive thing that is way way too big for bikes (200 - 600)
The 1/2 drive is a kingcrome jobbie that I've had for many many years. The 1/4 drive is a SCA
Have a look here prices and range seam pretty good for what they are

I also have a 1/2 & a 3/8 Torque wrench, the 1/2 is years old, so no idea on brand, the 3/8 is a Kincrome. I use both all the time on the bikes.

I use two...a 3/8 and 1/2. Little one starts at about 10 and large one goes till about 200 or so. Both are repco...no complaints here

Re: Torque Wrench recommendations
two, 3/8 inch Warren and Brown (think they got bought by Repco as I have had it for about 30 years), and 1/2 inch Kincrome. Would suggest that 1/4" plus a 1/2" is a good combo for a bike,

Thanks for good torque advice
I see consistency - that is so much better than when there is a huge difference in advice. Now to drop the not-so-subtle Fathers Day suggestion to the wife and children - unfortunately the birthday has passed!
