dyno 127hp
I finally got around to fitting my new arrow pipes to my 2010 1250s so booked in for dyno and the bike made a max of 127hp at around 8000 rpm.
The mods to the bike in order include K&N filter, 40mm hole in air box lid, Renthal bars (standard bend) , PAIR removal kit, PCV , secondry butterflies removed, Arrow headers linked to Beowulf muffler that came with bike, dyno tune at Neville Lush Racing.
Overall all the mods have knocked off approx 10 kg (which i do notice) and produced nice smooth power and no popping, neville said that he could of made same power by modifying standard computer and i could get a bit more by replacing link pipe from headers to can (for some reason it is smaller internal diam than both).
Thanks to all those on this site for your guidence especially Reardo for suggesting suppliers.

Well done. Aslong as you are happy with the results. That's all that matters. Enjoy.

Re: dyno 127hp
That's about 1.4hp better than my dyno run with essentially the same setup except a Yoshi instead of the Beowolf, it's a pretty good figure for the 1250 without going to internal changes.
Considering they left the factory at 98hp this isn't too shabby - almost a 30% increase. Grin factor also improved...

Re: dyno 127hp
been having a bit of a think about this,
comparing the 1157 oil to the 1255 water
when everybody`s done their dyno bits
1157 with carby and 9.5:1, are getting around the 120rwhp + or - (1980`s technology)
1255 with injection 10.5:1, are getting around the 130rwhp + or - (current technology)
I really thought they should be putting out more?
Don`t get me wrong,120-140 is more than enough for the road, just thought they should be spitting out more!
taking into consideration head flow, cams and gearing between the two engines!!! (standard internals)

Re: dyno 127hp
You most welcome mate. How good are they (B1250) unrestricted?!!!
For the people who don't know. You lose nothing down low, But gain lots of torque from down low & smoothly translates into power.
Did you get a Dyno print out? or it didn't happen. lol

*HealTech Gear Indicator w/tre "Advanced Timing Retard Eliminator is needed".
*Balanced TB's. My TPS was fine, but you should check yours.
*Arrow race headers with Yoshimura TRS.
*PC3 with the supplied map and these mod got 123hp with 115nm of torque.
*Neville Lush Racing custom tune = 130hp with 125nm at the Tyre (Standard 98hp/108nm).

Re: dyno 127hp
be aware though that different dyno machines apparently give you different numbers.... I'm told it's all about the change from a to b on the same machine that matters....
and how it feels of course

I'm hearing you Stu, But it's the same Dyno:D . Unless Neville Lush Racing has a new Dyno.stu wrote:be aware though that different dyno machines apparently give you different numbers.... I'm told it's all about the change from a to b on the same machine that matters....

Re: dyno 127hp
Ah all good, just that I posted that my 06 got 122hp on another forum and many people were like, yeah the dyno machines aren't always accurate.... don;t believe it etc....Reardo wrote:I'm hearing you Stu, But it's the same Dyno:D . Be taking mine back soon to get new jets and air filters: much more air, much more petrol.... and so hoping for 130+ ..... or more....

Re: dyno 127hp
I think all that matters is not the "so called" figure you end up with, as they`re all different, but if there`s a before and after chart to say that it has in fact increased, not decreased.
mine only measured 118, yet when on the road, has easily pulled away from an TL 1000, and correctly me if I`m wrong, their supposed to put out about 125-130, and lighter, so claims are here and there.

.... but we all know it's not really about max hp, but torque, and the bandy has that.....mtbeerwah wrote:I think all that matters is not the "so called" figure you end up with, as they`re all different, but if there`s a before and after chart to say that it has in fact increased, not decreased.

Re: dyno 127hp
well done. the 125 to 130 seems about what the bike puts out with airfilter, pipe etc.
From what I saw with the guys on the older motors can tune with less mucking around.
Also they use less fuel than the 1250's.
After doing a similar setup (headers may be next year) with ~126hp I finally ended up taking the bike for a cruise.
no ripping the throttle and tearing the road up.
the bike is actually getting 10% better fuel economy than stock if you ride it sensibly.
nearly down to 5lt/100k on the highway sitting on 110 in 6th.
on the other hand... ripping the throttle takes it out to around 7lt/100k.
After the mods - the bike is that much better from 5000 up to redline.
the increase in torque is awesome too.
cheers
